CWS Named Outstanding Community Organisation at the 2025 WSABE Awards

We’re incredibly proud to share that Cancer Wellness Support has been named the Outstanding Community Organisation at the 2025 Western Sydney Awards for Business Excellence (WSABE).

Held on 26 September at the stunning Waterview in Bicentennial Park, the 35th Annual Gala was a night to remember, bringing together inspiring changemakers, businesses, and community leaders who are shaping a stronger, more connected Western Sydney. The event shone a spotlight on the extraordinary efforts of local organisations driving innovation, inclusion, and impact across the region.

We were deeply honoured to accept this award from The Hon. Janelle Saffin MP, Minister for Small Business, representing the Premier of NSW, on behalf of our entire Cancer Wellness Support community.

This recognition is a celebration of what we’ve built together over the past 20 years. Our self-funded model of affordable, person-centred cancer care continues to grow thanks to the generosity, compassion, and shared purpose of our volunteers, therapists, staff, Board, strategic partners, supporters, and local community.

From our wellness centres in Leura and Penrith to our vibrant Op Shops, everything we do is guided by our values of compassion, care, respect, and community.

To be recognised on such a prestigious stage is not only a tribute to our work, but also an acknowledgement of every individual and family we’ve had the honour to support, and everyone who helps make affordable cancer care accessible to those who need it most.

Each person’s story reminds us why our purpose matters, and why continuing to grow, innovate, and serve our community is so important.

Thank you for believing in what we do. This award belongs to each and every one of you who make up our extraordinary Cancer Wellness Support community.
