We’ve Moved! A New Chapter for Our Penrith Wellness Centre

We’re excited to share some wonderful news with our Penrith community – we’ve moved to a new home!

As many of you may already know, our original Penrith Wellness Centre premises in Warwick Street was recently sold. Over the past six months, we’ve been proactively exploring alternative locations, reviewing properties and carefully assessing spaces that would best support the needs of our clients, carers, therapists and growing community.

While it’s never easy to say goodbye to a place filled with so many memories, we are incredibly excited about what this next chapter means for Cancer Wellness Support, our community and everyone who walks through our doors.

On Monday 1 June 2026, our Penrith Wellness Centre reopened at 15–17 Castlereagh Street, Penrith (just off High Street, near our Penrith Op Shop).

Located within a beautiful historic building in the heart of Penrith, our new Wellness Centre reflects the warmth, care and sense of belonging that has always been part of our services, while creating an opportunity to bring our growing programs and team together under one roof.

Much like our Robyn Yates Centre in Leura, the space carries a strong sense of character and community connection, supporting our vision of creating welcoming, person-centred environments for local individuals and families living with cancer.

This marks an important milestone in the next chapter of Cancer Wellness Support, with the first tangible outcome of our Capacity Building Fund becoming a reality through our new Penrith Wellness Centre.

Our beautiful new space will allow us to almost double our capacity in Penrith, helping us support even more people and families living with cancer. Features of our new Wellness Centre include:

  • 4 therapy rooms
  • 2 counselling and intake rooms
  • A large group space
  • Art therapy space
  • Welcoming client lounge area
  • Modern kitchen facilities
  • Generous on-site parking.

We have also been undertaking some minor structural improvements to ensure the space is perfectly suited to the therapies, programs and support services we provide.

We Couldn’t Have Done It Without You

This next chapter has only been possible thanks to the incredible generosity of our local community through our Capacity Building FundThe fund was established to help strengthen and future-proof our services, ensuring we can continue to grow alongside the needs of our community. From donors and fundraisers to local businesses and long-term supporters, every contribution has helped make our new Penrith Wellness Centre a reality.

To every volunteer, contractor, partner, therapist and team member who played a part in making this happen, our new Penrith Wellness Centre stands as a reflection of your commitment and belief in what is possible when people come together for a common purpose. Without your support, many of the essential tasks behind the scenes simply would not have been completed in time.

We’d also love to give a special shout out to local businesses across our community:

  • SC Home and Yard Maintenance for generously leading the renovation and improvement works and helping transform the space into a welcoming and functional Wellness Centre.
  • Penrith Telstra for their support in providing free cameras and cabling, helping ensure the centre is safe, secure, and well-connected.
  • NABIH who worked alongside us to ensure the Centre was ready for the future with upgraded security and network infrastructure.
  • Froggy’s Pickup & Delivery Services for providing transport and removalist services to safely move furniture, equipment and supplies from the former centre to our new location.
  • Kris Gauci, Co-Founder and Chair of Our Community Cares, together with her family, who worked tirelessly in our gardens and car park to create a welcoming first impression.
  • L&C Cleaning Services whose final clean ensured the Centre truly sparkled as we prepared to welcome people through the doors.

We are so excited to welcome you all into a space that better meets the growing needs of our community – a place where we can continue to provide connection, care and support for many years to come.
