For the fourth year in a row, Cancer Wellness Support took part in Dry July. Once again, our community showed just how much can be achieved when many people do their bit.
Together throughout the month of July 2026, we raised an incredible $58,590!
For Cancer Wellness Support, that result means much more than a number. As more people and families turn to us for support, these funds help us continue providing affordable access to services including counselling, lymphoedema management, oncology massage, movement programs and support groups.
These are services that can make a meaningful difference to comfort, wellbeing and quality of life, yet the cost of accessing supportive care can place them beyond the reach of many people.

How Did We Do It?
There was no single big moment. Instead, hundreds of small acts added up.
Across our Op Shops, teams baked treats, planted succulents in quirky donated containers and invited customers to add a little extra at the counter.
Our Wellness Centres and Head Office embraced some friendly rivalry, while clients, carers, therapists, volunteers, fundraisers and supporters found their own ways to contribute.
And then there was Trivia Night.
Our Leura Wellness Centre came alive with tricky questions, friendly competition and plenty of laughter as people came together for one of the highlights of our Dry July campaign.
Every cake sold, donation made, trivia question answered and fundraising page shared contributed to the final result.
That is what made this year’s Dry July so special. It wasn’t one big gesture, but many people finding their own way to contribute.
For a 100% self-funded organisation like Cancer Wellness Support, campaigns such as Dry July help us continue subsidising supportive therapies so that cost does not become a barrier to accessing care.
To everyone who got involved, in whatever way you could, thank you. Every contribution mattered, and together you have helped us continue to be there for people living with cancer and their carers when they need us.

About Dry July
The Dry July Foundation is a registered Australian charity behind the annual Dry July campaign. It encourages people across the country to go alcohol-free for the month of July to raise funds for people living with cancer.
Unlike many campaigns that focus on research, Dry July is about direct, tangible support. The funds raised go straight into delivering practical services and participants can choose to support specific beneficiary organisations, like Cancer Wellness Support.
This annual campaign raises awareness and assists us to continue providing person-centred, practical, and supportive care for individuals and their families living with cancer.
Dry July is one of the rare campaigns that funds essential, life-enhancing services — and we are deeply grateful for our ongoing partnership, and everyone’s involvement and support.
Every dollar raised helps support people living with cancer and the carers who walk alongside them, ensuring they can continue to access the care and support they need.
