Behind every therapy session, fundraising event, Op Shop donation, client conversation and community initiative is a group of passionate staff who are united by one shared purpose – ensuring no one has to face cancer alone.

At Cancer Wellness Support, our staff spans client services, operations, retail, events and fundraising, administration and many other areas. While our roles may differ, we are all connected by a commitment to supporting people affected by cancer and by the belief that the power of community can change lives.

Each year, once our Annual Operating Plan and Budget have been endorsed by the Board, our team comes together for an End of Financial Year lunch. This small tradition recognises the dedication, commitment and achievements of everyone across Cancer Wellness Support.

It’s an opportunity to pause, celebrate what we’ve achieved together, thank one another for the difference we make for those living with cancer, their carers and families, and look ahead to the opportunities the year ahead will bring.

This year, we gathered at Bowery Kitchen and Bar where the beautiful surroundings, exceptional food and wonderful hospitality provided the perfect setting. Housed within a beautifully restored former church, it was a unique and welcoming place to spend time together.

While not everyone could be with us on the day, this celebration extends far beyond those in the photos. We acknowledge our dedicated volunteers, therapists, staff members who were unable to attend, our Board of Directors, and the many supporters, donors and community partners who help make our work possible.

Every person who contributes to Cancer Wellness Support plays an important role in helping people living with cancer, along with their carers and families, access the support they need.
