Trees of Hope: Celebrating 20 Years with Penrith Panthers

For the second year in a row, Cancer Wellness Support is honoured to take part in Trees of Hope with Penrith Panthers Leagues Club – a beautiful community tradition that brings local charities together to raise awareness during the festive season.

Decorated in shimmering gold and emerald green, this year our tree proudly celebrates 20 years of providing affordable and accessible cancer care across the Blue Mountains, Penrith and the Hawkesbury.

Beneath the branches sit beautifully wrapped gifts, each tied with a different coloured ribbon. These colours symbolise the wide range of cancer types we support, reminding us that every individual’s journey is unique.

The gift tags highlight the many complementary therapies, wellness programs and support groups we offer to both clients and carers, with 8,546 sessions delivered during 2024-2025.

Every ornament on our tree has been thoughtfully sourced from our Op Shops, showcasing our commitment to environmental sustainability and celebrating the power of community giving.

How You Can Support Us

With your help, we have the chance to win a share of $9,000 in prize money, which will directly support local individuals and families living with cancer.

From now until 17 December, Panthers members, staff and directors can vote for their favourite festive tree.

If you are a Penrith Panthers member, please:

  • Scan your membership card at the club (and remember, you can vote every day).
  • Place your printed member ticket into the Cancer Wellness Support voting barrel.

For the rest of our community, please encourage your friends and family who are Penrith Panthers members to vote for us.

Every vote helps us continue providing life-changing support to our community. Thank you for standing with us, celebrating hope, and helping us make a difference this festive season.
